Yoga Practices: Breath, Meditation & Spiritual Traditions | SoulAdventure

Kundalini Yoga & Meditation near Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Yoga practices are ancient systems designed to unite breath, movement, awareness, and consciousness. Across different traditions, yoga becomes far more than physical exercise. It is a path of inner stillness, emotional balance, spiritual growth, and deeper connection with both the body and the mind.

The practices explored throughout SoulAdventure retreats include breath-based disciplines such as Pranayama, devotional paths like Bhakti Yoga, meditative states including Dhyana, and energetic traditions such as Kundalini and Kriya Yoga. Each practice offers a different doorway into awareness, healing, presence, and transformation.

Within sacred environments such as Angkor Wat, yoga takes on an even deeper dimension. Sunrise movement, mantra chanting, meditation, and conscious breathwork become part of a larger spiritual experience shaped by ancient temples, silence, ritual, and sacred resonance carried through centuries of devotion.

This is where you should go to destress from your travels! I have taken 2 yoga classes from Shiva so far. He is phenomenal. The class is in perfect English. The atmosphere is beautiful and calming. The studio is pristinely clean. Shiva knows how to ease you into a meditative state that will provide you with the most satisfying yoga experience you could hope for. Classes are $10 and worth every penny. Shiva chants throughout the class and helps students stay on track with deep breathing in sync with the movement. Thank you Aum yoga for providing this extraordinary yoga class! I can’t wait to come back for more!

I joined several classes at Aum Yoga while I stayed in Siem Reap. I tried different styles and workshops and I was lucky to meet all their teachers. Always professional and warm, I felt like at home from first day. They also have an amazing range of Crystal Singing Bowls that often are used at the end of the yoga class, or as a complete session on their Saturday schedule. Once I had the opportunity to take a private class with Shiva, so knowledgeable and experienced yoga instructor! Once a month they also offer community event Kirtan. Well equipped, clean and cozy, I dare to say this probably is best yoga studio in town.
