Ancient Temples, Living Spirit & the Soul of Southeast Asia

Cambodia

Sacred, Soulful & Unlike Anywhere on Earth

Cambodia is having a moment. Long known for Angkor Wat, this extraordinary country is quietly emerging as one of Asia’s most compelling wellness destinations, where ancient sacred sites, a deeply spiritual culture, and some of the warmest people on Earth combine into something genuinely transformative.

This is not just a place you visit. It’s a place that changes you.

SACRED SITES

Cambodia holds one of the densest concentrations of sacred architecture on the planet. The Angkor complex alone contains over 1,000 temples spread across 400 square kilometres, built by a civilisation that understood sacred geometry, cosmic alignment, and the relationship between landscape and consciousness.

the ancient science of breath, movement, mantra, and meditation

Divine Architecture

Angkor Wat remains the crown jewel, still active, still alive with monks, offerings, and ceremony. But beyond Angkor, Bayon’s enigmatic stone faces invite deep meditation, and the cliff-top temple of Preah Vihear is one of the most dramatic sacred sites in all of Asia.

At the spring equinox, the sun rises directly over Angkor Wat’s central tower. Pilgrims have gathered here at this moment for centuries. World-class teachers continue that tradition today.

The Soul of Cambodia

Cambodian people carry a quiet grace that stops most visitors in their tracks. After decades of extraordinary hardship, the culture has retained a profound spiritual depth, rooted in Theravada Buddhism, ancestor reverence, and a generosity of spirit that is immediately felt.

Monks in saffron robes. Incense at roadside shrines. Blessings at dawn. Cambodia's spirituality is not performed for tourists, it is simply how life is lived here.

Southeast Asia's Best Kept Culinary Secret

Cambodian food is one of Southeast Asia's great undiscovered cuisines. Fragrant, herb-forward, and deeply nourishing, built around fresh river fish, coconut, lemongrass, galangal, and the unique fermented paste known as prahok.

Amok, a silky coconut curry steamed in banana leaf, is considered the national dish and belongs on every table.

Siem Reap in particular has become a serious food destination, with farm-to-table restaurants, night markets, and chefs reinterpreting Khmer tradition with genuine care and creativity.

THE WELLNESS OPPORTUNITY

Cambodia is where Asia's next great wellness destination is taking shape. The ingredients are all here, extraordinary sacred sites, a living spiritual culture, pristine natural landscapes, world-class hospitality investment, and a growing community of healers, teachers, and practitioners making this country their base.

TUI Blue Angkor Grace sits at the heart of this emerging scene, placing guests at the gateway to the temples, the traditions, and the teachers who are helping Cambodia step into its role as one of the world's most powerful places for spiritual travel.

This is where you should go to destress from your travels! I have taken 2 yoga classes from Shiva so far. He is phenomenal. The class is in perfect English. The atmosphere is beautiful and calming. The studio is pristinely clean. Shiva knows how to ease you into a meditative state that will provide you with the most satisfying yoga experience you could hope for. Classes are $10 and worth every penny. Shiva chants throughout the class and helps students stay on track with deep breathing in sync with the movement. Thank you Aum yoga for providing this extraordinary yoga class! I can’t wait to come back for more!

I joined several classes at Aum Yoga while I stayed in Siem Reap. I tried different styles and workshops and I was lucky to meet all their teachers. Always professional and warm, I felt like at home from first day. They also have an amazing range of Crystal Singing Bowls that often are used at the end of the yoga class, or as a complete session on their Saturday schedule. Once I had the opportunity to take a private class with Shiva, so knowledgeable and experienced yoga instructor! Once a month they also offer community event Kirtan. Well equipped, clean and cozy, I dare to say this probably is best yoga studio in town.

Common Questions About Cambodia

Cambodia is one of the most powerful spiritual destinations on Earth. The Angkor complex alone contains over 1,000 temples, many still active with monks, ceremonies, and daily offerings. The entire country is steeped in Theravada Buddhist tradition and a living culture of reverence.

The spring equinox is the most powerful time β€” the sun rises directly over the central tower at dawn, exactly as the ancient Khmer architects intended. Sunrise visits year-round are deeply moving. The dry season (November to April) offers the most comfortable conditions.

None at all. Our experiences welcome complete beginners and seasoned practitioners equally. Curiosity and openness are the only requirements

Yes. Siem Reap and the Angkor region are well-established tourist destinations with excellent infrastructure, world-class hotels, and a warm, welcoming local culture.

The temples were built around Hindu and Buddhist cosmology, sacred geometry, and the principles of prana β€” life force energy. Today practitioners of Reiki, meditation, and energy healing find Cambodia’s sites extraordinarily potent for deep work.
